Some Amazing Lasagna

Some Amazing Lasagna

One of Venezuela’s most famous dishes is Pasticho Venezolano. Mix beef, pasta, and cheese, it’s not all that surprising it’s so popular.  Venezuelan Pasticho is a little different than lasagna from the US.  The main difference is that Venezuelan Pasticho doesn’t include ricotta cheese. Venezuelan Pasticho is also simpler. But, that allows the person eating to appreciate all the flavor of the ground beef, mozzarella, pasta and seasonings without the overpowering cheese flavor of traditional lasagna.  It’s more creamy. Let’s get started!

To start:
2 boxes of lasagna pasta
Parmesan Cheese how you like it
Mozzarella Cheese how you like it
For the Beef:
1.5 pounds of Beef
Worcestershire Sauce
Soy Sauce
Adobo
Butter
Onion
Garlic
28 oz can of cut tomatoes, peeled
Red Wine
Salt and Pepper
Oregano
Cilantro
can of tomato paste

The Sauce
Butter
2 Tablespoon Flour
1 1/3 Cup Milk, hot
Salt and Pepper

Now you need to chop the onions, saute them, then mix together all the beef ingredients. Delicious.

Mix the sauce ingredients.

For the 13 x 9 inch pan do a layer of noodles, then sauce, then beef then mozzarella, then repeat.

top it all off with another layer of noodles.

Next, Heat it at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Enjoy.
